The homeowners were looking to transform an unused backyard corner into a shaded, functional relaxation space adjacent to their pool. With no previous structure in place, the Wave Decks team started from scratch to create a freestanding, low-profile composite deck with an architectural pergola designed for both visual impact and year-round usability.

Anchored by rich, natural-toned Trex composite decking and outlined with a sleek border in "Island Mist," the platform offers a refined, modern finish that’s durable and low maintenance. The striking Stix-style pergola adds vertical interest and sun protection, while the privacy fencing and clean transitions to concrete hardscape make this design a seamless extension of the pool environment.
