Elevated Trex Deck with Bench Seating, Rod Iron Railing & Lighting

Project Type: Second-Story Deck Rebuild + Lower Patio Platform with Integrated Lighting
Client: Meg M., Sacramento, CA
Materials Used: Trex® "Woodland Brown", custom steel support beams, powder-coated rod iron railing, low-voltage step lighting
Completion Time: On time, despite record Sacramento heat

This two-tier project focused on both function and style — replacing an unsafe, dry-rotted upper deck with a solid, weather-resistant Trex® platform supported by structural steel beams. Our team also expanded the lower patio space, giving the family two levels of usable outdoor living.

The rod iron railing provides safety while maintaining visibility and openness, and LED step lighting makes nighttime use easy and inviting. A custom corner bench was added on the lower level for seating and flow. The full build was done under tough conditions — including long days in extreme Sacramento heat — with no compromise on detail.
